Assalamualaikum. So here we go... Alhamdulillah I was shortlisted among the thousand of applicants in joining the Educamp at UTP. Basically everything went so-last-minute which is ridiculous!
Actually I'm on my vacation with my sister since April 8th. This is why I said that everything went so last minute! What should I do when my documents, baju kurung and everything is in Alor Setar while I'm relaxing my ass off in Johor? Fortunately, my parents are at home! So we decided to meet at Ipoh instead. Ayah and ibu are going to the resort booked first and wait for me there. Alhamdulillah, everything went as we planned it to be. Did I mention that we stayed at the same resort as Adila's family? Yes, we even meet up outside of our room on that night.
So here it is... Registration was held at the Chancellor Hall. The queue was already long when I reached the place at about 7:00 a.m. Oh, but then I went to the second queue (No one realize it's existence though) which manage me to get into the first group, which is A. I got A76 I think? I don't remember because I already throw that card away.
This is the Chancellor Hall. I used to call it as "Dewan UFO" when I was in standard 5. Liddat tell me how cool is that building? Hahahaha no, I'm not really that amazed looking at the modern and awesome infrastructures in the campus since I used to go there... on monthly basis? Actually, my second brother is an UTP alumni, and so are his wife. That's why I have been there before. The Chancellor Hall is where my brother had his Graduation Day.
Then I headed to the auditorium to listen to the briefing and speeches. After two hours, we, Group A (and also Group B) travelled in a bus to Block B. This is where the interview session will be held. There, we were sent to the Preparation Room to prepare on the case study. I'm in the group of 4 boys anyway, yes, I'm the only girl but oh well, whatever! Our case study was about Crime Wave.
After about 30 minutes (Which is too short for me), we went to the Waiting Room. I was in Panel 9, Number 4 (This is based on my card number). The interview has two session which is individual assesment and the other one is by group. So what did the panel asked me? Aa, well...
Me: *Knock the door* Assalamualaikum.
Panel: Waalaikumussalam. So you must be Adibah Hanun right?
Me: Yes.
Panel: Okay you can seat now.
Me: Thankyou.
*Accidently kicked the panel's table* OH MY GOSH
Me: I'm so sorry *Grin*.
Panel:So Adibah, where do you live?
Me: I live in Alor Setar, Kedah.
Panel:Where did you studied at?
Me: SMK Tunku Abdul Malik.
Panel:Where is that?
Me: Hmm... At Alor Merah.
Panel:Near the Dewan !@#$%^&* (Which I don't actually remember what did he asked)
Me: Hmm sorry I don't know where's that *Laugh*.
Then he basically asked about my SPM's result, and why did I chose to study ICT instead because I got an A for my Chemistry (suprisingly). I told him that I have been into codings and all since I was in Standard 3 and he gave me that "god, this kid is freaking hilarious" look. He actually asked me where do I learn all that and I calmly answered everything, well, I even mentioned having a graphics website too. After a while, we moved on to the main topic which is about the Crime Wave. I basically know nothing at all about this crap so I basically, changed the words, and pretend like I'm freaking confident about what I'm talking about.
About the group interview... The boys in my group are extremely good. I mean, they sure have a lot of ideas while me... 'yes, here is my idea', and 'I think your idea is very good' thing all over again. We spontaneously discuss about this problem and come out with one solution which is amazingly COOL for me.
Overall, I'm not really satisfied with myself, but oh well let's just hope for the best since this is my first ever interview session and I did... quite good for a first-timer. I think? It was a great experience, really.
(EDITED@1st February 2015)
To those who concern, yes, I did passed the interview and I am currently struggling my second year here.
